What a beautiful Compote! This Vintage Duncan Miller Milk Glass Sandwich Large Pedestal Ruffled Compote/Bowl is hard to find. It has a delicate lacy pattern around the bowl. "RARE" and Stunning!

The story behind this unusual company is...they began in 1866 as Ripley & Co. Around 1886 it became Duncan & Heisey then in 1900 Duncan & Miller. After many successful years the plant closed in 1955. Some molds and equipment were sold to US Glass in Ohio who produced under Duncan Miller Milk Glass was made until WWII when some of the necessary ingredients were no longer available, but a fire destroyed the building in 1956.

This one of a kind measures 11.5" in diameter, 7.5" tall and the base is 5 1/4" in diameter. This beauty is in MINT CONDITION. No chips, cracks or signs of wear.
