Vintage 1940's

Vintage Bordallo Pinheiro Teapot with Shamrock Design. Of interest this company was started in Portugal in 1884 by Raphael Bordallo Pinheiro. He created hundreds of ceramic pieces. He had the company for 21 years. But after his death his son continued his work. In 2008 the company was in crisis and was purchased by another company and has remained the vision of the founder. The new pieces have a more modern look to them.

This brightly colored teapot is in the basketweave design, with yellow and brightly design of shamrocks on both sides of the teapot. The teapot measures approximately 5.75" in height and is 9" from spout to handle. The teapot is free of chips or cracks and is marked with the Bordallo Pinheiro trademark.

I have the matching serving platter available.
