Vintage 1960's
Beautiful Vintage Westmoreland Milk Glass & Gold Accent Paneled Grape Compote w/Lid. Known for their Grape Vine Design accented this lovely in Gold. The bowl measures 7 1/4" in diameter and 10" in height. Both the top and bottom are marked with the WM imbedded in the glass. The compote is free of chips and cracks and some some minimal wear of the gold on the lid (see picture) Very heavy piece weighing 4lbs without boxing and packing.

Westmoreland founded in 1889 were solely manufacturers of handmade glassware and sold only thru authorized dealers. Since all Westmoreland Glassware is entirely handmade, sizes may vary. Sold from 1940’s to 1960’s. All information taken from Collector’s Encyclopedia of Milk Glass, 1995.
