Vintage 1920's
Johnson Brothers "Old Britain Castles" is one of the company's most beloved and collectible patterns. Originally introduced as a beautiful variation of the traditional Blue & White transferware, it was later produced in the charming Pink/Red colorway. This set is stamped on the back with the pink crown and pink backstamp, indicating an original vintage production. Later reproductions are typically marked with a green backstamp.

The cup holds approximately 6 ounces, and the saucer measures 5.5 inches in diameter. The featured pattern is "Kenilworth Castle 1792."
I carefully inspected each set and found the following:

Set 1: The saucer is in excellent condition with no crazing. The cup is also in very good condition, with only a few light brown spots on the interior.

Set 2: The saucer is in excellent condition with no crazing. The cup has a few light brown spots on the interior and very mild interior crazing that is not noticeable during normal display or use.

Set 3: The saucer has no crazing and only a small brown spot on the underside. The cup is in excellent condition.

Set 4 & 5: Both the cup and saucer are in excellent condition with no flaws noted.
