Apple earthenware was proving so popular, it was continued to be made by the Wedge wood group after closing the Franciscan production facility in Los Angeles in 1984. English Franciscan Apple will be back stamped "Made in England". Each piece of this set has a back stamp from 1940's up to 1979. Every single piece has been inspected for chips and cracks and they have proven to be in excellent condition.
