Antique 1885–1910
Antique Gibson Staffordshire clay teapot, hand painted with a beautiful floral design in warm orange and teal tones accented by rich gold leaves and scrolling details. Made in England between 1885 and 1910, this elegant teapot reflects the exceptional craftsmanship and artistry that made Staffordshire pottery famous around the world.
Its generous size and striking hand-painted decoration make it equally suited for serving tea or displaying as a treasured antique. The vibrant colors and remarkably well-preserved gilt accents on the handle and spout give this piece an elegant presence that will enhance any collection or tea table.
The teapot measures approximately 9½" from the tip of the spout to the end of the handle and 6" high.
It is in excellent antique condition with no chips or cracks. The only noted imperfection is a small area of exposed clay around the Gibson backstamp on the base, which occurred during production. Otherwise, this teapot appears to have seen little, if any, use, with the hand-painted decoration and gold accents beautifully preserved.
A wonderful example of Gibson Staffordshire pottery, this rare antique teapot is a beautiful addition to any English pottery, Staffordshire, or antique teapot collection.
