Vintage 1900's
Wow!! What a beautiful and rare piece of Carnival Glass....this piece is highly sought after. Produced back in the 1900's this Vintage Carnival Glass Tall Bud Vase with the "Imperial Ripple" has a beautiful iridescent color giving the carnival glass it's shine. As you can see from the pictures I took them in several different lights...just magnificent! The vase is 12" in height from the highest point of the flare top to the bottom.
A piece of history on Carnival glass: The Carnival Glass look was achieved by mixing various metallic elements, (some of which are not permitted by today's manufacturers). It is the overspray (liquid metallic salts) which creates the carnival appearance. Glass MUST have the iridescent overspray of metallic salts in order to be considered carnival glass.
